Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. Since the mid 80s she has been working in television and film. Her work has been recognized with several awards, among them sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Her birthplace was and grew up in New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father at around five. She and her younger sister moved from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when was able to see James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck production Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream to become an actor been born. In 1980, Bassett graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She earned a diploma from The Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. conferred a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the main characters in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
